PUBLIC NOTICE THE IN OF CROW CREEK AATMEN SECRETARIAL ELECTION MARCH 3, 1849 The Crow Creek Sioux Tribe requested by Tribal Resolution CC-19-05-14-03 a Secretarial Election to amend the Crow Creek Sioux Tribal Constitution. Proposed Amendment A: Remove BIA approval of resolutions and ordinances governing the Tribe's economic affairs. Proposed Amendment B: Remove BIA approval of ordinances governing the conduct of members of the Tribe. Proposed Amendment C: Removal of BIA's oversight and approval of future amendments to the Tribe's Constitution. The BIA will mail to eligible voters an official notice of the upcoming Secretarial Election that includes the date of the election and voter registration procedures. We are confirming names and current mailing addresses for all adult Crow Creek Sioux Tribe members who reside on the Crow Creek Sioux Reservation in order to send the official Secretarial Election notice. No later than July 1, 2019, contact the BIA to confirm your current mailing address if you: Are a Crow Creek tribal member who resides on the reservation, AND Are or will be 18 years old or older on or before August 14, 2019. Confirm your address information in person at the Crow Creek Agency in Fort Thompson or by mail, fax, email, or by phone.
