The Mitchell Girls Fastpitch Association (MGFA) is a non-profit parent and volunteer organization whose mission is to provide the community of Mitchell with an organized and structured girls' fastpitch softball program. This program consists of a Summer League season and supports an independent High School season geared to compliment the Mitchell School District Athletics Program. Our goal is to provide a safe and active environment for girls to have fun while learning the fundamentals of fastpitch softball and develop basic, intermediate and advanced skills through the various age groups available. The MGFA will promote a program of friendly competition with the goal of educating participants about sportsmanship, teamwork, fellowship, courtesy, discipline, commitment and integrity. Also, the MGFA will work to empower our volunteer coaches to create positive athletic experiences for each participant with the express purpose of enhancing the overall physical, emotional, mental and social development of all participants. The MGFA programs wishes to partner with the community to provide quality facilities while working to offer a multitude of local, state, regional and national venues enhancing the girls' fastpitch experience.
