At Southern Plains Behavioral Health Services, no one will be denied services due to inability to pay, as there is a discounted sliding fee schedule available for people to get services in the Tripp, Gregory, Mellette, and Todd Counties. Southern Plains Behavioral Health Services (SPBHS) is a community, non-profit agency designed to meet the behavioral health needs of all individuals within our catchment area. All areas of work within Southern Plains are coordinated to provide quality care to those individuals experiencing both short and long term difficulties in adjusting to life situations. SPBHS serves Todd, Tripp, Gregory and Mellette counties in south central South Dakota. Satellite clinics are operated in Gregory, Mission and White River. Appointments at the clinics can be scheduled through the Winner office, Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Southern Plains Behavioral Health Services maintains a 24-hour, 7-days-a-week emergency on-call service.These services are provided by the professional staff of Southern Plains Behavioral Health Services and can be accessed by calling (605) 842-1465. Services include: •Psychiatric care •Individual counseling •Family counseling • Group Counseling •Case management services •Systems of Care •Parenting Education/Child Development •Community Education & Awareness •24-hour emergency services Services consists of two major components: adult and children’s services. These departments are coordinated to provide quality care to those individuals experiencing both short term and long term difficulties in adjusting to life situations.
